Whether you are teaching a large class of undergraduates or have a small seminar of graduate students, we can provide targeted curricular support across multiple sessions.
Here is just one example of how this could work in your class.
A life sciences faculty member asked us to lead some sessions on general statistical inference and a common statistical software package. The goal was for students to be able to formally test a biological model of human growth using data they collected themselves. This was the first experience the students had with the scientific process as actual researchers.
As always, the key is planning and communication. These collaborations can take considerable effort to plan. But, they create opportunities for significant impact on the students and their learning in the class.
Therefore, we invite faculty to reach out as they begin the brain-storming for this kind of engagement. We are happy to discuss ideas and possibilities. After you tell us about your interest, we will find time to meet in-person and discuss.
