S-Plus for Linux or Unix 
Most of the S-Plus commands are the same as in S-Plus for Windows
- To Start S-Plus
- X Terminal
If you will be using the graphics features of S-Plus, use an X terminal session. All of the Statlab machines have Xterminal software. - ASCII Terminal
If you don't have an X terminal, use telnet to log on and type Splus at the % prompt.
- Display and Print Graphics
- X11() Loads the screen driver. You get a second window for the graphs.
- To print a graph Click the Print Button in the header of the graph window.
